Sharon Lund, the author of Sacred Living, Sacred Dying: A Guide to Embracing Life and Death, was featured in the November 2007 issue of O, The Oprah Magazine. In the article titled "To Beat the Unbeatable Foe," Lund detailed her life from discovering she was HIV-positive in 1986 to finding love and not only acceptance of her condition, but being able to view it as a blessing, making her who she is today.

Author D.T. Pollard's Rooftop Diva: A Novel of Triumph After Katrina was listed at number 10, in the hardcover fiction category, on the ESSENCE Extended Best Sellers List for October 2007. The magazine's list is based on reports of retail sales. Respondents are African-American bookstores.

Leslie Lipton Opens up on Shy Condition

Leslie Lipton, the iUniverse author of Unwell, sat down with Good Morning America Weekend to discuss shy eating. In the segment, Lipton revealed to ABC's Andrea Canning how a pattern of shy eating, a fear of eating in public, served as an early sign of anorexia. Mary T. Wagner, Running with Stilettos author, won multiple awards in the Illinois Woman's Press Association’s 2008 Mate E. Palmer Communications Contest.
