About the Book
The Reverend Dr. Arthur A. Rouner, Jr., a graduate of Harvard University and Union Seminary, served as a Congregational parish minister for 40 years. He initially led the First Congregational Church of Christ of Williamsburg, Massachusetts; then Eliot Church in Newton, Massachusetts; and finally, The Colonial Church of Edina, in Edina, Minnesota.
In 1994, Dr. Rouner left parish ministry and founded The Pilgrim Center for Reconciliation, an international outreach ministry dedicated to healing the wounded and broken hearts of individuals and communities. Along with his wife, Mary (Molly) Safford Rouner, Dr. Rouner presently leads a reconciliation ministry in the grieving African nations of Rwanda and Burundi, in an effort to bring about forgiveness and reconciliation among the devastated survivors of the genocide that occurred in those countries.
Dr. and Mrs. Rouner have six children and five grandchildren. They live in Edina, Minnesota, and Center Ossipee, New Hampshire. In their "ministry of presence," they travel extensively, making several journeys to Africa several times each year.
