About the Book

For anyone who has had the pleasure of raising, teaching, or being around children, Monkey Bar Adventure opens your eyes to a wonderful new way to forge a bond with children based on a deeper relationship with God.

As parents and caregivers, we experience a variety of different moments with our children. Those "monster" moments nearly convince us that God sent them with the primary purpose of punishing us. There are the funny "monkey" moments at which we laugh and are amazed at the thoughts in those tiny little heads. But it's in the treasured "angel" moments that we see Jesus himself. During these times, when we look at them as Jesus did, we realize that God is the only perfect parent. He desires the same behaviors from us that we want from our children.

Angela Kirkpatrick currently lives in Copperas Cove, Texas, with her husband and two children and teaches high school advanced biology. A passion for teaching led her to write the curriculum for and teach a service learning class called CARES and a habits based Bible study for her home church.
