A Different Heaven is a fictional account of the true-life story of 10-year-old Pamela Butler. Pamela was a Kansas City, Kansas resident who was abducted and murdered back in the fall of 1999.

A Different Heaven is based around three characters and how they all come together one faithful day. It's a story of life's greatest lesson, helping others, and of life's greatest loss, the murder of a child.

A Different Heaven is a tribute to Pamela Butler and a roller coaster ride of emotion that has an ending that you will never forget.

A Different Heaven is written by Alan Shope and is inspired by a true story.

Alan Shope is A TV Sports reporter working in Wichita, Kansas. Before moving back to his hometown in 2000, Alan was a TV news/sports reporter/photographer in Kansas City. Alan, as well as the Kansas City community, was especially touched by the story of ten-year-old Pamela Butler. It was a story with an emotional message and a heart-wrenching ending.

In 15 years of working in TV News, Alan Shope has won dozens of awards and has twice been nominated for an Emmy.
