The courtroom was crowded by the time Trina arrived. Judge Gray sat on the bench looking tired of all the same old cases that were presented to him everyday. Nodding to all the familiar faces Trina took a seat close to the front. Johnson failed to call her back, but Alice called once more and informed her that Vaughn was going to be indicted on two counts of manslaughter and sixteen counts of first-degree murder.

When Trina Robinson's uncle is accused of a series of murders, she feels it's her responsibility to defend him at his trial and uncover the mystery surrounding the crime. Completely unapologetic, her Uncle Vaughn accepts his fate and anxiously awaits trial.

Trina enlists the help of her powerful mentor, ruthless attorney Ann Wright, to take the case. Even though she has to deal with her upcoming wedding and career decisions, Trina cannot let her uncle be convicted. James ?JJ? Nash was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas. After a stint in the Navy, Nash graduated from the University of North Florida with a BA in public relations. He is a schoolteacher in Jacksonville, Florida, along with his wife, Doreszell. They have six children.
