About the Book
Growing up as the privileged daughter of a Greek family during the time of the Turkish occupation, nothing was good enough for her. Her father, a wealthy merchant, makes deals to smuggle his daughter and her future husband to Odessa where they will be safe until Greece is free once again. What happens on the night before her wedding changes her life forever.
About the Author
Fay N. Kozas is presently an English teacher in a New York City public high school and has also taught Greek literature in the past. She earned a Bachelor?s Degree from Hunter College and a Master?s Degree in English Literature from St. John?s University. She recently published a book on Greek/Jewish haiku and has had several literary works, including Greek poems, published in various American and Greek newspapers. She was instrumental in the construction of Athens Square Park, a recreation area that serves as a symbol of the legacy to Hellenism. This is the author?s first publication of anecdotal literature.
