About the Book

Tess is trying to learn how to appreciate life after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Her brother, homeless since the age of fourteen, moves in with an aunt and uncle, only to abandon them in an attempt to find financial independence. Darling, a young black woman, enrolls in college hoping to find a career. And there is Endora, a 72 year-old schizophrenic who hears voices. In the midst of them lurks a serial killer.
