About the Book
Spirit Within is a humorous, but revealing, story about the impact that a casual love affair can have on two average people. Seventeen years ago, Jack Santo and Joanne Barbante became involved. It was brief and seemingly inconsequential. Both Jack and Joanne, now in their forties, have long since gone their separate ways, and have not seen or heard from each other since. Their recollections of the time they spent together have lingered in their minds for years. The pleasant memories of the affair are clouded by deceit, untold facts, misunderstandings, and consequences unknown to each other. A chance meeting of these former lovers provides an opportunity to reveal to each other the impact that their relationship has had in their minds, memories, and lives. The revelations of this meeting cause each to choose a path and decide their future.
