The Race is the story of two horses that organize a race to settle an argument over ownership of a barn. The animals take on human qualities to resolve the conflict.

The Deep Blue Sea is the story of a lonely, young girl. She struggles to find friendship, and to discover a secret about herself that will influence the rest of her life. Her mystery is solved with the help of fairies, trolls, and other mythical creatures.

About the Author

Sarah Mitchell just completed the fifth grade at Gross Schechter Jewish Day School in Cleveland, Ohio. This book of short stories represents the completion of a school project in which students were asked to do something that they had always wanted to do, but had never done before.
