O.O.O.

I’m all for being polite to everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual preferences, etc. I personally like and appreciate gentility, kindness, and sensitivity expressed outwardly to all, I truly do. That being said, as a Behaviorist—here is my brief argument against Political Correctness paranoia as currently being worshipped by some. When we become so self-constrained in taking otherwise legal, logical steps and actions, and compromise our nation’s own National Security or safety as a result…I will always side with protecting our country and ourselves first. Let the PC politeness be damned! You see, when our nation’s security efforts are allowed to be compromised in the all-important work of keeping our citizens safe by how and those we profile—just to promote proper PC…something has gone horribly wrong with the way we perceive the value gained! We must still defend logic and set realistic priorities. Peace after all—is a far greater virtue than politeness—and defending our country's freedoms—greater still. Politeness pales in importance when compared to safeguarding one’s country. Which of these possible two outcomes presents the more compelling and important principle value to our American society and humanity at large? Our first outcome, protected some of our country’s minorities—multiple ethnicities of persons of middle eastern appearance traits, from undue scrutiny and embarrassment at JFK and other airports—accomplished by being hyper sensitive and careful not to over profile them with focused TSA security screening. Our second outcome results in potentially insulting, upsetting, and possibly even traumatizing those same airplane passengers who fit one of many profiles of possible terrorists. This action however, also leads to the arrest of a suicide bomber/terrorist boarding a packed flight of nearly four hundred people, from New York to Los Angeles with undetected plastic explosives! Honestly friends—which outcome is likely to protect the greater good from a purely mathematical and societal point of view…and when does—nice manners and sensitivity—trump 400 innocent lives? Which principle is more important to you and your family? (Either inside or outside of those 400 saved victims.)—I know where I stand. Let’s face it, there are simply appropriate times when our desire to uphold PC must be compromised for the greater good…and safety of an entire country of 300 million people. And our own press media needs to remember and adhere to this too. Look and consider what’s happening with this Holy War and its players, is there any doubt as to why our own media—too often, remain silent—when they shouldn’t? Of course not. You see, looked at from another perspective, our media is petrified to be seen by the Muslim community—as responsible for exposing what is happening with this conflict…Heaven help them—Allah forbid. My argument simply contends that there will be plenty of time for apologies and reconciliation after we save the world from this global threat! That being said, any other approach to dealing with a threat of this magnitude is foolhardy indeed. In closing my argument, I would simply say that before Political Correctness stands in the way of preserving our country’s safety—it must be sacrificed and destroyed freely…before any Americans including you and I are surrendered instead!
