About the Book

Writing after school might be an unlikely way for elementary aged children to spend valuable free time. Yet, that is just what they, along with parents, grandparents, and a teacher/sponsor did for two quarters of the school year. For the pure love of writing, they gathered in a writing workshop forum, listening to literature, talking about writing, writing, revising, and finally publishing. Wildcats, Butterflies, and Walnut Shells, is the celebration of their writing process.
