But other poems, like "The 'New' New Orleans," exude hope and happiness. Diamond writes, "New Orleans citizens seek heavenly / guidance to rebuild, / fight psychological aftermath, / follow an optimistic, successful path / for the birth of a / "New" New Orleans."
