About the Book
Annie is now married with children of her own but as she remembers that fateful holiday of long ago, she begins to see through the fog of hurt and long ago feelings of loss. She grew up in a wonderful house in Texas with her Momma, Daddy, and two sisters, Gina, who was older, and Susie, who was younger. She loved her life and especially the holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then one day, something unexpected happens and Annie must learn what it means to lose something so precious before she is ready. This is her story. The little girl she knew so well, the little girl, who for a long time, put part of her soul to sleep.

Carolann Mitchell lives in Temple, Texas. She taught English for thirty years. She spends most of her time writing, reading, and enjoying her five grandchildren.
