About the Author
Clyde Cremer brings a lifetime of expertise to the design and construction of high-quality log homes. He earned an Associate degree and a Certificate as a Forest Technician from Lassen College in Susanville, CA; a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX; and a Master of Forestry degree from the Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in New Haven, CT. He joined as a charter member and served as a Director of the North American Log Builder’s Association and was founder and director of the Connecticut Wood Producers Association. Clyde also gained valuable experience in the mid-l970s as an inspector for the Tree Farms Association of Connecticut. In 1977, he founded American Log Homes, where he still serves as president, and he maintains his connection to forestry as a professional member of the Society of American Foresters.
Jeffrey Cremer worked in the family business while growing up, gaining first-hand experience as he helped to build log homes during summer breaks from college. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and is also studying for a a Master of Science in Construction Management from Arizona State University. Jeff also brings to the log home business top-notch experience gained while working as a project engineer for one of the largest engineering companies in the world.
