About the Book
Canada, 1951. An American B36 bomber with a live nuclear weapon on board crashes on a remote Canadian island. Jack Harper, an ex-Canadian Air Force serviceman, is recruited for a secret mission to recover the bomber's crew. He joins a Special Forces team led by Captain Groves to a mountain glacier on Parchment Island.
But things turn terribly wrong when Jack realizes he has been deceived-this is no rescue mission. Captain Groves mistakes the bomber's crewmembers for Russians wanting to find the bomb. Losing all sense of reason, Groves decides to detonate the bomb to ensure it does not fall into the wrong hands. Jack makes contact with the downed crew members, and together they race for the bomber through a blinding snowstorm in a wild attempt to stop Groves. But Jack soon discovers that he is struggling on a mountain as unforgiving as the men he is dealing with. He no longer knows the difference between his enemies and his friends. The Cold War hangs in the balance as Jack races to stop a disaster in the making.About the Author
