A single influence is cast like a giant shadow over the entire art of Japanese Sword. This is the influence of the Samurai Myamoto Musashi, a legendary warrior that pursued a single philosophy. Musashi put down his philosophy as a guide for the student to study in The Book of Five Rings. About the Author

Gerald Goble, Ph.D., has studied and practiced martial arts for many years. He first came to study traditional Japanese sword in 1982. Dr. Goble has studied and taught both empty hand and weapons systems at his school for many years in Texas.
