Ginny Albert has been a lover of romantic suspense since mid-adolescence. She has also been writing snippets of novels for nearly as long. Finally, when certain snippets became full paragraphs, and paragraphs became chapters, the novel Dangerous Passions was the result. Dangerous Passions was probably more voluminous than necessary, and after a few rejections slips confirmed that possibility, the novel was sidelined. But then, another story was demanding to be told. Which Man was born in 2003, and was self-published on July 12, 2007 through iUniverse.com. Dr. Kwakiutl Dreher, Professor of Ethnic Studies at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln made Which Man required reading for her Women in Popular Culture classes in 2008 and 2009. Dr. Dreher, who teaches English and ethnic studies, will make the book a point of discussion for Black Women Writing Romance Literature. Since the book was published, Ms. Albert has had several book-signings -- most notably -- she joined local authors at Barnes & Noble in Atlanta's Camp Creek Marketplace Mall on May 15, 2010. Medu Books in Atlanta has hosted the author twice; she has also had a signing at the Shrine of the Black Madonna Book Store; and appeared before members of two Atlanta book clubs, which was a rousing experience in that the members wanted to know whether there would be a sequel, and revealed "which man" they preferred. "Which Man" is now a screenplay! Ginny Albert is the founder of Ginny Art, as well as the designer of the T-shirts known as Chic Shirts. At www.cafepress.com/ginnyart, Ginny’s artistic designs are applied to not only tees, but such items as panel prints, greeting cards, and mouse pads. In addition to an exhibit during Black History Month in February 2007, Ginny participated in two other exhibits in 2008. Ginny’s new novel, Love At Shadow’s Edge has just been completed, and will be available in the near future. These days, in addition to attending Georgia State University as a film major and working part-time at GSTV, Ginny is profoundly involved with her amazing grandson, Jason Wesley, who turned 3 years old on May 23, 2010. On October 18, 2008, Ginny entered her artwork in Smyrna, Georgia's Spirit Walk Exhibit -- simply for the purpose of introducing it to a new audience. She won 3rd Prize! Other exhibits have followed and will continue!

Sierra Bradford may be a savvy African-American romantic suspense writer, but in life she is a virtual innocent when meeting Wade Grisham – a handsome GQ-appareled man, who quickly captivates her. In the background is James Waverly, who has been Sierra’s best friend since High School. It is through James that Sierra meets Wade Grisham. When James is unexpectedly called away to tend his sick brother, Wade and Sierra begin a relationship. James returns and feels betrayed as things have escalated between Sierra and Wade in a manner James never intended or imagined. James confronts Wade, and the men come to blows. At first Wade stubbornly clings to Sierra, but for dubious reasons abruptly breaks off their engagement. Sierra is devastated, but with James’ help, begins to recover. But then Wade returns to reclaim his ex-fiance —at which time a series of strange events occur. Someone close to Sierra dies, and another is murdered. Before long, Sierra is being stalked. Both Wade and James are a source of consolation and protection for Sierra. But does James or Wade possess the power, the magnetism, and the passion to ultimately enthrall Sierra and win her heart? In the end, she is forced to choose—which man.

The author recently received quite an honorable distinction, as Dr. Kwakiutl Dreher, Professor of Ethnic Studies at The University of Nebraska-Lincoln made Which Man required reading for her Women in Popular Culture classes. Dr. Dreher, who teaches English and ethnic studies, will make the book a point of discussion for Black Women Writing Romance Literature. Dr. Dreher and Ms. Albert are discussing the possibility of scheduling a “chat with the author” to give students the opportunity to field questions regarding the novel and learn about Albert's self-publishing experience.
