About the Book
The keen eye and lively narrative skills demonstrated by Chuck Bernstein in his bird watching studies provide a vivid picture of war seen from the ground and below ground (foxhole) level. He leaves high-level questions of strategy to armchair generals as he illumines the human dynamics that ultimately shaped the greatest armed conflict of our time.
