About the Author

A native of Georgia, now residing in New York, Kavaler has published two volumes of short fictin as well as a historical novel, Doubting Castle. Twice a recipient of a NEA Fellowship, her work has appeared in numberous literary quarterlies and has been anthologized in Best American Short Stores.
