About the Author

The Illustrator and the Author. Zhenya Yanovic, a child artist from Siberia, currently lives and works in Charlottesville, VA. Betty Lou Leaver, Ph.D., is listed in Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who of American Women. An international educational consultant and mother of gifted and handicapped children who lives in California, she has learned that happiness, like bitterroots, is found in unexpected places.
