About the Author

Chris Adams is a retired U.S. Air Force Major General; former Chief of Staff, Strategic Air Command; Associate Director, Los Alamos National Laboratory; and industry executive. A student of Soviet Union history, he has traveled extensively in the region and written and lectured on the Cold War era. He presently resides with his wife near Granbury, Texas.
