About the Book

Gaby D. is a journal chronicling a mother's journey through grief in the years following the sudden death of her young daughter Gabrielle. It is a heartbreaking and arduous trek but it is ultimately a passage of love and hope; and of a connection that will never be broken.

About the Author

Karen O?Neill spent 20 years as part of the Foreign Service family. She lived in Iran, Germany, Mexico, Ethiopia and Austria. After Gaby?s sudden death in Vienna, Austria in 1997, Karen and her son Ben returned to the United States. They live in Arlington, VA where Ben attends high school and Karen works at the Smithsonian Institution in nearby Washington, DC.
