INTRODUCTION Thank you for taking time to discover why you cannot give up on your destiny. This book is meant to be a destination resource and an encouragement that will help lift you up. I want to tell you what I know so that you can reach your destiny and experience a more fulfilling, blessed life. I’m pretty sure you have been told what you should do and who you are, but I want you to discover who you are in Christ for yourself. Closer to Your Dream may not deal with every situation that you may face on your way to your dream. But it will help encourage and equip you with some wisdom and knowledge so that you can make good decisions. It will also help you look at situations from a different standpoint. I’m still fairly young, so I know I have not been through everything. However, I deal with many topics in Closer to Your Dream, and every topic that I deal with I have faced in my life. There have been many older people who have said to me and behind my back that it’s impossible for a person so young to have already faced so much. People have also said that I am too young to walk in the position and authority that I do, and these criticisms were made in the church, sometimes behind closed doors and sometimes in the open. But people must understand that a lot of things happen during your teen years. People grow up and forget about their life as a teenager and how they went through so much stuff. I want to pour my heart out to all of my readers, especially the ones that have been hurt, rejected, talked about, and have thought about giving up. As you read Closer to Your Dream, I want you to go ahead and be what you were made to be. You’ll find out, as you get closer to your dream, that those who deserve a place in your life or are called to be in your life will never be threatened by your strengths and uniqueness. People who are meant to be in your life understand that your uniqueness is different from their uniqueness because it takes many players to make up one team. You will always have those who are not meant to be in your life, trying to pull you into their circle, not because they like you, but because that’s the only way they can control you, measure you, learn you, and try to put you down. Understand that you have a dream inside of you regardless of what you have done in your past. So, this is my gift to you. I pray that this will push you closer to your dream and encourage you to never give up on your destiny.
