All too often, companies promote their best worker/technician/salesperson into a supervisory position. The common misconception is that if you're good at doing something, you'll be good at managing or supervising others doing that same job. Tom Shanahan has been a senior manager, director of corporate training, and national seminar leader. He is on a constant quest to improve his golf game and will search golf courses around the world in that pursuit. He lives in Seattle.
