About the Book

At the innocent age of ten, author Andrew Tirado is confronted with a life-altering, near-death experience after a bicycle accident leaves him with a collapsed lung and a traumatic brain injury. With remarkable fortitude and the support of his family, Tirado slowly begins the road to recovery. He relearns how to walk, how to eat, and even how to talk.

Tirado perseveres despite these setbacks and returns to school with a determination to lead a life that is as normal as possible. During his teen years, Tirado has brushes with the law, experiments with drugs, and tries to understand the opposite sex. He graduates from high school and enrolls in a local community college. But he receives another drastic blow when he is faced with the sudden death of his fiancée.

Tirado pens a touching, bittersweet memoir with Shatter Some Worlds. Tirado's portrayal of his life is honest and frank, and reveals his indomitable courage in the midst of grief and suffering. He uses his adversity as an accelerant that drives his consciousness to rise to the occasion and accomplish great things.

About the Author

Andrew Tirado received associate degrees both of science and art (A.S.) &(A.A.). He is pursuing a bachelors of science (B.S.) degree, and has subsequently graduated. He also may possibly have future aspirations for a masters degree. Tirado lives in southwest Florida continuing to reside near and work at the University where he matriculated.
