About the Book

Crossroads: Chance or Destiny?, the sequel to author Harry Samuels's highly acclaimed Beshert: True Stories of Connections, is an unexpected, intriguing, and memorable collection in which lives are not only impacted, but in some instances saved because they connected with the life of another.

In "A Match", a daughter given up for adoption thirty years earlier unwittingly becomes a bone-marrow donor for the mother she never knew. In "Herman and Roma", a man discovers that he is on a blind date with a young girl who saved his life during World War II. Samuels uses his stories to encourage reflection on whether our life experiences are guided by reason and purpose or whether they are impacted solely by coincidence and laws of probability. About the Author

Harry Samuels is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and has devoted many years to volunteerism in Memphis, Tennessee. He and his wife, Flora, have been married for forty-six years and are the parents of Martin, William and the late David Samuels.
