About the Book
She admits she has an attitude, but Jessica K. Vaughn wants the world to know where it came from-places all too familiar to many of us: loneliness, fear, depression, and heartbreak. As the title suggests, she's not angry. She's not mad. She's not mean. Not anymore. She's finally ready to release the beast and move on. It's high time.
I'm Not Angry, I'm Bitter is a short collection of poetic outbursts from a young, black woman in love, purging her frustrations after years of seeing and experiencing the trauma and drama of living in a crazed society. Her expressions of bitterness likewise stem from losing her true love in death and having to make a life without him. The compilation includes twenty-nine original poems along with approximately fifteen pages excerpted from an upcoming memoir, poignantly revealing the development of an alluring relationship and its subsequent finale.
I'm Not Angry, I'm Bitter is an outlet written for all those people who are smiling on the outside, but have turmoil inside. In an honest and heartfelt assortment of poetic expressions about true love lost, depression and other tragedies of life, Jessica K. Vaughn speaks her piece.
