About the Book

Three years after helping her husband win his battle with cancer, Louise Lampard was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She was thirty-five years old and devastated. At the time of her husband's illness, they had decided to improve their health, give up their stressful jobs, and emigrate from London, England, to Calgary, Canada. Now, nearly paralyzed by fear, she knew she was about to experience the fight of her life.

Within a few days of her diagnosis, Louise sent an e-mail message to her family and friends, informing them of her illness. Reading the responses was painful for her, but the messages helped keep hope alive.

Since then, Louise has learned the vital importance of building a support network, receiving needed help, staying positive, and believing in the cure. After completing radiation and chemotherapy, Louise became cancer-free and now leads a new and fuller life.

About the Author

Louise Lampard was diagnosed with cervical cancer in September 2005, when she was thirty-five years old. She is an active participant and motivator in fund-raising activities for cancer research and treatment. Lampard lives with her husband in Calgary, Canada.
