About the Book

May the 30th, 1930, Savannah socialite, Agnes Raven is found murdered on River Street. The note—which is written in blood—attached to her corpse states: I am the Master Surgeon. Fifty years in the future, high school student Julia Baxter dreams of a dead woman found on a deserted street by a river. She is convinced that these dreams—old dreams, as she calls them—belong to someone else.

From the crown of a tower overlooking the Lost City of Candlestone—the place where time is kept and regulated—the First Lieutenant to Death waits as one possible future collapses and another is born. Killing the woman on River Street was necessary if he is to lay claim over the new hours.

The Reversing Hour is a story of romance and betrayal that literally takes you from the banks of the Savannah River and the beaches of Tybee Island to the outskirts of time.

About the Author

Scott Faerchild began his writing career in Atlanta, Georgia, as the founder, lead singer, and primary songwriter for the 1980s band Faerchild. After the band broke up in 1991, he began writing prose. This is his debut novel.
