SOCALLT '06 is the eighth publication of the series documenting the sessions presented during the annual conferences of the South Central Association for Language Learning Technology (SOCALLT). This publication is a record of the sessions presented during the 2006 conference held at Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas on February 24-25, 2006. All authors are current members of the organization. The articles of these proceedings focus on a variety of issues, such as new technologies for language learning, language lab development, the integration of technology into the foreign language curriculum, the role of technology in the teaching and learning process, language materials development, and web-enhanced language instruction.
About the Author
Scott G. Williams is Associate Professor of German and director of the Language Media Center at Texas Christian University; he was president of the South Central Association for Language Learning Technology (SOCALLT) 2005-2007. Before becoming chief editor in 2005, he also served as associate editor for the 2004 edition of the SOCALLT proceedings.Donalld Weasenforth is Professor of English as a Second Language at Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas and President-elect of SOCALLT.
