About the Book

Filled with rich historic detail and hilarious personal anecdotes, Stories from the Lou! shares tales from two Hungarian American brothers, Peter David Banyai and Louis Kiraly Banyai.

A candid and enjoyable glimpse into their family history and daily life experiences in America from the 1930s through the 1950s, Pete and Lou take you on the Ferris wheel at the World's Fair, tell about wearing a dwarf costume in New York City after Walt Disney produced Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and entertain with a funny Christmas story about the time the town's volunteer fire department came to play with one brother's present.

You'll travel along with the twosome from the hubbub of New York City to their grandparents' central Wisconsin farm, where time slows to a crawl during the summer. See what happens when the first-born grandson and his grandpa test homemade wine together.

Also included in this work are unique stories about life in the U.S. Army and a few poignant memories, including reflections and helpful insights. About the Author

Louis Kiraly Banyai is a retired steamfitter/master welder and lives in Glenwood City, Wisconsin.

Peter David Banyai is a retired United Methodist minister. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin and Garrett Seminary in Evanston, Illinois. Banyai and his wife, Jill, live in Bishop, Georgia.
