Words, is a compilation of poetry depicting the life of a man struggling with issues of abandonment and abuse while trying to make sense of his inability to love. Through his quest for companionship he learns the reality of love and the pain that stems from its counterparts.

Words, is a poetic drift along one of life's most difficult streams that flows toward intimacy and romance. It's a timeline that connects the roots of hardship and struggle to the source of a cold heart that refused to seek warmth.

Words, is for those who can't seem to figure out why their relationships keep failing or why they can't control the desire to belong to someone else. Words, is for those who find it difficult to trust, too frightening to commit and impossible to submit to the vulnerability of love.

About the Author

After publishing his first book entitled, The Truth of a Spirit Dying, Carlton found the inspiration while sitting in his tiny apartment in Brooklyn U.S.A. to compile poetry that depicts his journey from abandonment and abuse to love and success.
