When I was Seventeen

It was still dark outside when we arrived at the bridge that morning. Wayne reached the bridge first and was already looking down trying to find Brain's body. He looked around for several minutes and didn't say a word. I didn't think that he would see the body in the dark, especially that far down the side of the tracks. "Do you see him down there?" I asked. I had stopped about ten feet from the bridge.
