Joe Holly has his assignment. The army is sending him to Fort Huachuca, deep in the heart of Apache territory. It's no easy post. Apache raiding parties are a fact of life there, and the area is known for its thieves and hardcases. But they're the least of Joe's worries. His real mission at Fort Huachuca is a secret. He's working undercover to find out who at the fort is supplying information to the gunmen who have been robbing the army's payroll deliveries. He knows he can trust no one. He knows his life is on the line if he's discovered. What he doesn't know is just how many layers of lies and betrayal are waiting for him. He doesn't know yet-but he'll find out.

About the Author

John Duncklee is the author of sixteen books and numerous short stories, essays and poetry. Prior to his writing career, John was a university professor in both the United States and Mexico, a cattle rancher, Quarter House breeder, designer of mesquite wood furniture, and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He lives in New Mexico with his wife, Penny, an illustrator and painter.
