About the Book

Every life has both highs and lows. It's wonderful when we stand on the Mountains, but how do we survive the dry desert? Walk in the Desert is a book with two true stories from my life that may give solace to others knowing they are not alone.

Valley of tears is only a six-week period, which covers diagnosis to death of a young adult daughter.

Summer on Cape Cod is the story of brain tumor surgery and recovery. This should give hope to the many who will receive that diagnosis. It is not always a death sentence.

About the Author

MacKinnon has had small publications on and off since High School Days when she won a citywide writing contest in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She attended Regis College in Weston, MA. And taught high school in MA. for more than twenty years while raising her large family. It wasn't until her family was grown and she and her husband retired to Florida that she had time to do some serious writing.Bill and Helen spend their summers on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.
