About the Author

Steve Lapan has studied cooking and food for nearly 35 years. The son of French and Italian parents who grew up in the South, he has traveled extensively and studied the cooking techniques of many different cultures. Applying classical techniques to old Southern staples, he developed the recipes in The Bubba Gourmet.

Steve lives on the Southern coast of North Carolina where he lives with his beloved wife, Christine. They are the proud parents of 2 children, 2 dogs and 1 old cat.
