About the Book
My Brother's Keeper tells the story of two brothers, Daniel and Tom Kincaid, born ten years apart to affluent parents from Beaufort, North Carolina. Daniel becomes a successful and respected physician in his hometown community while Tom, spoiled, self-centered, and sexually manipulative becomes an alcoholic, sexual predator of women and young men.
The story follows the lives of these two brothers soon after Daniel is released from prison for taking the blame for a crime that his brother had committed eight years before in order to protect his brother. They eventually meet by chance in a small town in rural North Carolina where Daniel had met and fallen in love with a young widow who has a teen-age daughter.
