About the Book
With every spoonful of sugar one chokes down, one can't help but wonder how septic this world truly runs with the darkness inherent in every granule.
Combining an eclectic mix of flash fiction and short stories, Arsenic Pills offers a twisted new shot of poison on every page.
From a small town in Depression-Era America to the backwoods of Louisiana, Raven McAllister delves into the blackness of men's souls with more than thirty short stories. In south Texas, an old rancher finally discovers what's been killing his cattle for fifteen years, while madness itself stands guard over the ruins of an old church in Louisiana. A British shop owner falls in line with a demigod's black designs, and a trucker takes up the cross-country haul from hell.
McAllister skillfully blends horror, gore, science fiction, and realism in this masterful collection, revealing the intense, inner realm of the human psyche. Prepare to dive into the dark side of our world.
