As Americans, we have a deeply rooted sense of individualism that is at the heart of our unprecedented rise to power in less than 250 years of existence.

As a result, our perspective on the outside world, for better or worse, tends to be informed by its impact on us.
This is not to say that Americans are completely self-absorbed and blind to the needs of others. We send billions in aid to help those suffering around the world.

About the Author

Ira Williams has spent much of his life working to apply his God-given talents in ways that enhance the lives of others.

A graduate of the Harvard Business School, Ira has worked with start-up, midsize and Fortune 100 firms, where he has led brand management and business development efforts and pursued strategic partnerships and acquisitions.

Ira completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, where he graduated with an AB in International Relations, with a focus in Latin American Economic Development Strategies.

Ira is married to Carmen Williams, and is the proud father of Gabrielle and Ira IV.
