About the Book
You just received your first promotion. Now what do you do? How should you act? What can you expect from your organization and your subordinates? What can they expect from you? How do you begin? Will work life be almost the same or incredibly different?
These questions and many others confuse, intimidate, and frighten new supervisors. Unfortunately, organizations invest considerable amounts of money and energy into selecting a supervisor, then expect appropriate behavior with little or no supervisory training. “They Promoted Me?” fills that void with a down to earth, common sense primer for new supervisors. Filled with interesting stories and examples, this easy to read book will be a godsend for anyone newly promoted who wants to do a good job, but needs a little basic training in the field of supervision.
