About the Book
Twelve-year-old Dylan isn’t about to forgive his father, who’s serving time in an Oregon prison for cutting timber illegally. His former friends at school constantly remind him of his father’s crime. “Your old man’s a thief. You've got bad blood.” Enter Amy, spunky and opinionated, who’s spending the summer with her grandparents in the Oregon coastal town of Seaview.
Dylan’s “friendship with Amy gives him answers— some funny, some painfully honest. This fast-paced story has an involving plot, rounded characters and clear sense of place. Children will pull for Dylan, his story will give them much to think about.” Kirkus Reviews
