However, with a majority of challenged children, those who constantly fail and eventually become so discouraged that they stop trying, that connection is faulty or disconnected. Becoming a Somebody provides the knowledge needed to make the necessary repairs. Author Myles J. Joyce draws on more than thirty-five years of working with challenged children and their families to help adults understand what is wrong and how best to fix it by spelling out what to nurture, how to encourage, and why this type of assisted guidance is needed.

About the Author

Myles J. Joyce received his master?s degree from the University of Cincinnati and his doctorate from Duke University. His entire career has been devoted to working with challenged children and their families. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychological Specialties and a member of the American College of Forensic Examiners.
