About the Book

This publication is a record of the sessions presented during the annual conference of the South Central Association for Language Learning Technology (SOCALLT) held at the University of Texas at Arlington on March 7-8, 2003. All authors are current members of the organization. The articles of these proceedings focus on a variety of issues, such as new technologies for language learning, the integration of technology into the foreign language curriculum, the role of technology in the teaching and learning process, language media development, professional development, and language center management.

About the Author

Ute S. Lahaie, Associate Professor at Gardner-Webb University and former Director of the Language Acquisition Center at Baylor University, is president of the South Central Association for Language Learning Technology (SOCALLT) and editor of this collection.

Patricia Pierce, Lecturer of French at Baylor University, has served as associate editor for this SOCALLT proceedings since 2002. She is an active member of SOCALLT.
