About the Author

Alice O?Grady first went to Ghana as a Peace Corps teacher. She spent the next nine years in West Africa, and later returned to do research for Ashanti Saga.

Currently residing near Chautauqua Institution in upstate New York, she engages in journalism, editing and indexing.
