For decades, a live nuclear shell has waited undetected beneath tons of concrete. But when a clerk in the U.S. Army learns of its existence, he sees it as a chance to get whatever he desires.

The finding sets into motion a religious crusade, and not just one. A collection of dangerous sociopaths all vie to uncover and secure control of the shell, and all for their own reasons. Each one, in their own way, feels that some higher force is guiding them.

There is a reclusive engineer who worships the lost shell as a deity and wants nothing more than to blow up Hummer dealerships. An ATF pencil pusher thinks that finding the lost shell will catapult his career. A racist, recruited to assassinate a black congressman, covets the shell as the perfect weapon. And a cult leader wants to trade it for cash.

None of these people, however, knows exactly where the shell is located. Only a former porn star living in constant terror knows how to find it.
