About the Book

A short story is a form of art from the heart, the mind, and the imagination. These stories represent the thoughts and creativity of thirty-nine members of Cold Spring Harbor High School's class of 2010. While we attempted to categorize and classify our stories, for simple organizational purposes, the truth is that each story is unique and represents some facet of the individuality of the author. Each turn of the page will reveal a new identity and a different personality, exactly as a short story should.

About the Authors

Many of us met in the sandbox, some on the swing-sets, and others as we walked through the doors and into the hallways of Cold Spring Harbor Jr./Sr. High School. Our common thread is simply the fact that we are all students in Ms. Bergida?s ninth grade English seminar classes, and accepted the task of creating a story intended for publication. Otherwise, our differences are as vast as the stories themselves. Many of us have spent most of our lives living in the Cold Spring Harbor community, while others hail from different states or even countries. The selection of stories contained within the binding of this anthology are a testament to our academic and athletic prowess, our embarrassing moments and times of folly, and the imaginations that keep us young even as we dream of our futures.
