About the Book
Without Reservations is a fictional story of the lives of several young men and women as they depart from school and become adults in a world of harsh realities.
Thompson Akers is in love with a girl, Marlyne Barkstan, who is more or less selfish and has a tendency to want to dominate any situation.
Rebecca Reinhart, who is classified as "The High School Whore," loves Thompson Akers and attempts to tell him about her feelings of Marlyne.
Paul Vickery, a decorated veteran of Vietnam, meets a beautiful young lady, Andrea Townsand, and falls in love with her. At her birthday party, he gets in a fight with some of her friends.
Barry Newburg and Glades Birdsong are raised in the same foster home. They leave and later meet up again at a club in Vietnam.
Barry meets his former girlfriend at a hospital and both are wounded as they run for the safety of a bunker.
Paul meets Andrea at the airfield in Vietnam, and have a love encounter.
Marlyne is wounded while saving the lives of several Marines. She becomes a hero and later is decorated.
Tom and Rebecca meet at an airport and get together. Here they plan a future life together.
About the Author
Having spent months in Vietnam as a civilian working with many units of the service, in an attempt to better their lives in a war torn country Roger C. Boughton saw laughter, pain, and frustration, at various times. He also witnessed pride and devotion to each other and their country.
