About the Book
This is the third volume of a trilogy on metaphysics published this year (2002) by iUniverse: Two Essays on the Origins of Metaphysics; then Berkeley's Tree, A History of A Metaphysical Problem; and now this, The Future of Metaphysics. This volume draws out the implications of the first two, and suggests a role for metaphysical thought in the future. It also recapitulates in briefer forms some of the contents of the earlier volumes. You may find it an effective introduction to those, since they dealt in more detail with the evidence for their findings.
