About the Book

Awaken America depicts a new visualization of what America accomplished during the past 225-years of its childhood and what the young-adult phase of the American dream could be in the 3rd Millennium. Starting with an Allegory about a fictitious Tribe called The-People-Of-The-Eagle, who together team-up to regain both lost values and prosperity, Awaken America continues with high hopes for America’s future.

That bright future can surely light up the way for a world of freedom, democracy, prosperity, intense competition without strife or war, personal creativity, innovation, political stability and environmental stability. These “New Ideas and New Ideals” are best summarized as follows:

About the Author

ABOUT THE AUTHORS AND THEIR OBJECTIVES Awaken America is written to convey our thoughts and ideas for future relations between American people. As a couple married for 42-years since our high school courtship, we lived and traveled throughout America and firmly believe its people can build more powerful relations with one another. Claiming no clairvoyance or prophecy, we hope Awaken America will help jump-start the individual process of stronger relations during the first century of the 3rd millennium. We believe women and men, of all religious beliefs and social customs can, during the next 100-years, evolve a common sense vision for forming and keeping democratic values of freedom, prosperity, intense competition without strife or war, personal creativity, innovation, political stability and environmental stability. The authors base these hopes for future generations on two foundations of knowledge. We personally evaluated our own lives, including 47-years together, first in friendship and then in a loving and monogamous marriage. We also enjoyed our lifelong interest in history, especially America’s rapid changes in democratic relations between women and men. We observed a continuation of the system of patriarchy in our childhood during America’s great depression and World War II. We were both exposed to the impacts of confusing values, weathering that emotional storm differently, until finding one another at 16-years of age. Now, after a lifelong friendship, we can better understand the confusion existing today. We can look back on our lives together as a small part of history. We’ve observed and learned during our relationship including courtship, marriage, parenting, and grand-parenting, that vast opportunities exist for rapidly evolving much stronger relations between Americans. Knowing of vast differences existing between individual personalities and societal cultures, we desire to share that knowledge with others. It’s been our good fortune to live our lives together as Americans through the most exciting half-century since the beginning of time. It’s been a half-century of strife and change, with far less war and killing than the prior half-century or any half-century before has. It's been our good fortune to witness a beginning of the end for both the subjugation of American women and debilitation of its’ men.
