About the Book
Issues like war, romance, hope and the inevitable loss of hope are addressed in this collection by sophomore high school English writers. This literature will prove valuable in its relevance to other classrooms as it lets the individual experience the poetry and prose penned by other students. Thematically, the young men and women have pursued a variety of subjects they feel are important to their lives. For example, today's teenagers confront the daily rhetoric of war and violence, and as a result, develop the very sentiment that will prove influential in their future lives as leaders in our communities. Love, romance, and devotion grace the lyrics of their poetry. Betrayal, prejudice, and the fragile reputation are also key to their thoughts on surviving life as an adolescent.
